enemy's defeated
what if I told you there is a target on your back and it is the enemy’s intention to throw you off your element?
imagine invisible darts being thrown at you every day waiting for one to stick. This is exactly what he does until he beats you down and get you where he wants you. In the mix of depression, sadness, overthinking, anger, bitterness and resentment. these emotions can be hard to navigate through life as it becomes very heavy and when you least expect it your entire soil has been contaminated.
the beautiful thing about this is that there is always a protection and coverage over your life and that is the man himself, Jesus Christ.
he protects you, he guides you and leads you. (Isaiah 54:17)
there’s nothing a prayer and quiet time can’t fix with the lord . your job is to take care of your soil. your land… for imagination purposes imagine you just bought a home, you’re excited you just moved in. weeks pass by and the front yard starts looking a bit messy. you probably want it to look nice and pretty especially if you have family and friends coming over so you do some yard work and get it back to looking like new. much like the front yard your land and soil have to be maintenance and watched over, it is the same with your spiritual life. the more tender love and care you give God the more you will grow in all areas of life.
Reflection:
what areas of your life need spiritual maintenance right now? how can you invite God in to renew and strengthen you today?
Prayer:
lord, help me to guard my heart and mind against the enemy’s attacks. Keep my soil pure, my faith strong, and my spirit rooted in you. remind me daily that you are my protector and guide.
in Jesus’ name, Amen.
